Installation Notes
If errors occur during installation or execution, some
suggested causes and solutions are:
- Not logged on as a local user or a domain user (Win NT,
2000, XP). You may have to log in as an user with administrative
privileges to install software that uses new system components. (This
should not normally be a problem with this programme.)
- Windows NT4 (and possibly older versions of 2000) may
require msstdfmt.dll to be installed.
Download this file and place it in the c:\winnt\system32\
directory and register this dll by entering and executing from the
command line: regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\msstdfmt.dll
- Incomplete installation or conflicts with other running
programs during installation. Try installing from a clean boot.
- Errors can be caused by anti-virus software. Try turning it
off temporarily during installation.
- Corrupted setup file as the result of incomplete for faulty
download. Try re-downloading the setup file.
- Make sure you have installed the latest Windows Service
Packs (a.k.a., bug fixes) from Microsoft. Windows updates are available
from: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
- Please uninstall any previous
versions of the Multipactor calculator before re-installing the new
one.
- Be sure to have the
minimum screen resolution set to 1024x768 pixels
- To be able to read the ECSS multipactor standard and the
operating manual on-line from within the programme, an Acrobar reader
is required. The
installation of Acrobat Reader iss. 5 or higher is strongly
recommended.
